Helping our students feel safe, supported and at home in London

Choosing student accommodation is a big decision.

As a parent, you want to know the place is safe. You want the team to be experienced. You want the costs to be clear. And you want reassurance that students will have the right support around them as they settle into university life in London.

This is what YourTRIBE is built around.

Across our London locations, we provide more than a room. We create student communities where residents can study, socialise, build confidence and feel part of something from the moment they arrive. Whether students are moving to London from another part of the UK or arriving from overseas, our role is simple: to help them settle in, feel secure and make the most of university life.

A message from our Director

“As a father of two sons who have both been through the university experience, I understand just how important it is for parents to know their son or daughter is living somewhere safe, supportive and well managed.

Having also spent more than a decade leading student accommodation and campus services at University College London, I have seen first-hand the profound impact that a positive living environment can have on a student’s wellbeing, confidence, sense of belonging and academic success.

Research consistently shows that students who feel safe, connected and supported in their living environment are more likely to engage with their studies, persist through challenges and achieve their full potential.

That is why we have built YourTRIBE around more than just high-quality accommodation. We have created communities that actively support student development, foster meaningful connections and provide the foundations for academic achievement, personal growth and success both during university and beyond.”

Safe, secure and supported 24/7

For many parents, safety is the first question. It is for us too.

Every YourTRIBE building is managed by an onsite team, with support available 24/7. Our buildings include secure entry, CCTV, well-lit spaces and clear processes for maintenance, wellbeing support and resident concerns.

Just as importantly, our teams are present, visible and approachable. They are not only there to manage the building. They are there to help students settle in, answer questions, resolve issues and feel at home.

Students should never feel like they are living in an anonymous building. At YourTRIBE, residents are part of a community with people around them who notice, listen and help.

Trained teams, not just friendly faces

Our onsite teams are trained to support students professionally and responsibly. All staff receive Fire Marshal training, health and safety training, equality and diversity training, and Mental Health First Aid training. Our General Managers and maintenance teams also receive IOSH training and legionella certification.

Mental Health First Aid training is delivered in person through Mood MHT, with trainers accredited as MHFA England Instructor Members. This means the training sits within the recognised MHFA England framework, rather than being an informal in-house programme.

For YourTRIBE, this matters. Our teams work directly with students and young adults, so the training needs to reflect the realities of student wellbeing, safeguarding awareness, escalation and support in an education-related environment.

A community that helps students settle

University is about much more than lectures and exams.

It is where students build confidence, find their people and learn how to live independently. That can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming, especially in a city as big as London.

That is why community is central to life at YourTRIBE. Our resident events are designed to help students meet people naturally, try new things and feel part of the building. These can include social events, creative sessions, wellbeing activities, food-led events, movie nights, rooftop gatherings, study breaks and local London experiences.

There is no pressure to join everything. The point is to make connection easier, especially for students who might not know anyone when they arrive.

Support for neurodivergent students

We know that moving into student accommodation can feel particularly intense for neurodivergent students, or for anyone who finds busy environments difficult.

That is why we offer early check-in options to support a quieter arrival experience where possible.

We also provide pre-arrival communications so students and parents know what to expect before check-in. This helps residents arrive feeling more prepared, more confident and less overwhelmed.

Our events programme is also designed with neurodivergence in mind. Where relevant, we clearly mark events that may be more suitable, so students can make informed choices about what feels right for them.

If additional support is needed, we encourage students and parents to speak to our team before arrival so we can help plan the smoothest possible move-in.

Trusted by universities across London

YourTRIBE is proud to be an official accommodation partner of the University of Arts London and Ravensbourne University.

These partnerships reflect our role within the wider university community, but YourTRIBE is not exclusive to any one institution.

Our residents study at universities, colleges and specialist institutions across London and beyond, including UAL, Ravensbourne, King’s College London, UCL, London South Bank University, Goldsmiths, Queen Mary University of London, University of Westminster, University of Greenwich, SOAS, LSE, Imperial College London, University of Law and many more.

In total, students from more than 80 universities and higher education institutions have lived with YourTRIBE, creating a broad and diverse student community across our buildings.

A diverse international community

London is one of the world’s most international student cities, and our buildings reflect that.

YourTRIBE has welcomed students from more than 85 countries, creating a culturally rich and inclusive place to live.

For students arriving from overseas, this can make a real difference. They are not alone in navigating a new city, a new education system or a new way of living. They are surrounded by other students going through the same journey, supported by teams who understand how important those first few weeks can be.

Accredited by the ANUK National Code

All four YourTRIBE locations are accredited under the ANUK National Code.

This is one of the main recognised accreditation and accountability frameworks for private purpose-built student accommodation. It sets standards for safe, fair, transparent and professional student accommodation management.

For parents, this provides additional reassurance that YourTRIBE is not simply marking its own homework. Our buildings and management standards sit within a recognised external framework for the student accommodation sector.

Gold accredited by Investor in Students

YourTRIBE has been awarded Gold by Investor in Students.

Investor in Students is an independent accreditation programme that measures how well student accommodation providers support and engage their residents. It looks at the full student experience, including wellbeing, mental health support, community, belonging, communication, responsiveness, resident voice, events, maintenance and staff.

Gold accreditation recognises the quality of the resident experience inside our buildings, not just the quality of the rooms.

In our Investor in Students results, YourTRIBE properties scored highest in the country for staff friendliness.
Our properties also scored 12.5% above the national benchmark for how safe students felt onsite and in the surrounding area.

What our teams say

“As a parent, choosing where your son or daughter will live while studying in London is a big decision. At YourTRIBE Elephant & Castle, we work hard to create an environment where students feel supported, safe and genuinely at home from the moment they arrive.”

Clare Bushell
General Manager, YourTRIBE Elephant & Castle

“University is about so much more than lectures and exams. It’s a time when students grow in confidence, build lifelong friendships and create memories that stay with them long after graduation. At YourTRIBE South Bermondsey, we’re passionate about helping residents make the most of that experience by providing a safe, vibrant and welcoming home away from home.”

Cheuk Pun Hung
General Manager, YourTRIBE South Bermondsey

“Moving away from home is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel overwhelming for both students and parents. I know that first-hand, having moved to London as an international student myself. That’s why we focus on creating a community where residents feel known, supported and part of something from the moment they arrive, not just providing a room for them to live in.”

Anshika Bhargava
General Manager, YourTRIBE Southwark

“Our team is here 24/7, not just to manage the building, but to help students settle into life in a new city, build confidence and make meaningful connections. We see first-hand how important a strong community is to wellbeing and academic success, and that’s exactly what we provide every day.”

Scott Sule
General Manager, YourTRIBE Deptford

Payment options and guarantors

We know that parents are often involved in student accommodation payments, either as the payer or guarantor. Where possible, payment dates can be aligned with student loan payment dates, helping students and families plan ahead with more confidence.

If a student has a UK guarantor, they can pay in instalments. Guarantors simply need to provide official ID and proof of address. No credit check is completed.

If a student does not have a UK guarantor, instalment payments may still be available for an additional £20 per week.

Our team will explain payment dates, instalment options and any additional costs clearly before booking, so everyone understands what is due and when.

Visit us in person or virtually

The best way to understand YourTRIBE is to see it for yourself.

You can book a viewing in person, or arrange a virtual viewing if you are not able to visit London.

Our team can show you the rooms, shared spaces, study areas, facilities and local area, as well as answer questions about contracts, payments, safety, events and support.

There is no obligation to book after a viewing. It is simply a chance to make an informed decision.
