January Events at YourTRIBE: A Gentle Start to the Year
January can feel heavy. Exams, shorter days and the pressure to “start strong” all arrive at once. That’s why this month at YourTRIBE is about doing things differently.
Our January theme is Gentle Start.
Low pressure. Calm movement. Creativity. Community.
The events below are designed to support focus during exam season, create space to unwind, and help you feel connected, without adding anything else to your to-do list.
Here’s what’s coming up across YourTRIBE this January.
Monday 5 January – Sip, Shake & Celebrate (All Sites)
A relaxed start to the month with cocktails, mocktails, light snacks and an easy social atmosphere. No resolutions, no expectations, just a chance to reconnect after the break and ease into January together.
Tuesday 6 January – Vision Boards (Deptford)
A creative session focused on how you want to feel, not what you think you should achieve.
All materials provided, with prompts and inspiration to keep things low pressure and reflective.
Wednesday 7 January – Run Club + Study & Craft (Elephant & Castle)
Start the day with our friendly-paced Run Club, then join Study & Craft later on.
Silent study blocks using Pomodoro cycles, followed by gentle crafting to unwind.
Thursday 8 January – PJs & Movies (Southwark & South Bermondsey)
A cosy film night complete with pyjamas, blankets and chilled vibes.
The perfect switch-off after a long day.
Friday 10 January – Movie Night (Southwark)
A relaxed film screening with snacks and comfy seating, ideal for easing into the weekend.
Saturday 11 January – Yoga (Elephant & Castle)
Slow, grounding stretches with a focus on breath and gentle movement to release tension.
Monday 12 January – Procrastination Power Hour (All Sites)
Bring one task you’ve been avoiding and tackle it together.
Quiet focus, shared accountability and zero judgement.
Tuesday 13 January – Juice Bar Pop-Up (Elephant & Castle)
Fresh juices and smoothies to fuel exam prep or support a mid-day reset.
Wednesday 14 January – Run Club + Sound Bath (Elephant & Castle)
A gentle Run Club earlier in the day, followed by a deeply restorative Sound Bath session in the evening.
Lie comfortably and let calming frequencies slow the mind and restore energy.
Thursday 15 January – Pilates (Deptford)
Stress-release Pilates with gentle core work, breath focus and minimal sweat.
Friday 16 January – Pool Tournament (South Bermondsey)
A relaxed, friendly competition with plenty of time to watch, chat and get involved.
Monday 19 January – Blue Monday Boost (All Sites)
A wellbeing-focused day with herbal teas, positivity cards and small comfort touches to help navigate one of winter’s toughest weeks.
Tuesday 21 January – Run Club + Study & Craft (Elephant & Castle)
Another chance to move gently and focus quietly, followed by creative decompression.
Wednesday 22 January – Study Sessions (All Sites)
Drop-in structured study support in calm, distraction-free spaces.
Friday 24 January – Quiz Night + Run Club (South Bermondsey / Elephant & Castle)
A friendly Run Club earlier in the day, followed by a low-stakes Quiz Night with comfy seating and warm drinks.
Saturday 25 January – Winter Lights Trip (Group Outing)
A group visit to London’s Winter Lights festival, glowing installations, fresh air and a change of scenery.
Sunday 26 January – Cookery Class (South Bermondsey)
A hands-on cooking workshop focused on nourishing, simple meals that support energy and focus.
Monday 27 January – Craft Night (Deptford)
Make your own tote using fabric pens and stencils.
Chill music, easy creativity and no pressure to be “good” at it.
Tuesday 28 January – Run Club (Elephant & Castle)
Our final friendly-paced run of the month.
Friday 31 January – DJ Night + Run Club (Deptford / Elephant & Castle)
End the month on a high with a resident DJ night at Deptford, alongside our regular Run Club earlier in the day.
Dancing encouraged, it’s a proven stress reliever.
